Phase 3 B – Insulation

Good insulation in a home is key to keeping the temperature in the home at a desired comfort level and to reduce sound transmission between rooms. At Spectrum we use only R-49 with energy heels on our trusses in all of our attic spaces, and R-21 in all exterior 2 x 6 wall spaces to insure the best possible scenario for energy efficiency. For an added measure of convenience, we often use state of the art sound bat insulation and dense R-15 insulation in all walls that abut bedrooms, stairways, laundry rooms and bathrooms, so that independent audio activities can be used without interruption.
