It all began with a knock on the door, a salesman and replacement windows. We were unprepared for what would come next. Left with the task of caulking and painting all our windows in an open floor plan home, it led to a decision to remodeling our kitchen now or live with an unfinished project. We saw a sign in front of a home, contacted Spectrum Construction and knew instantly we would be taken care of with no surprises. We recently had Spectrum Construction do renovation work for us. The jobs included tiling a hallway and bathroom in the lower level, building a complete new bathroom off of the master bedroom, including a new walk-in shower, new vanity and new floor tile. We also had Jim install two new exit doors with steps, and a new screen door on the main entry door.
All of the work performed by Spectrum Construction was simply outstanding. Jim was ever attentive throughout the entire job. He was right on top of every detail and is an excellent communicator about each aspect of the installation. His explanations were such that an unskilled person could easily understand what was going to be done. Likewise, the various crews that Jim uses are very skillful and respectful of the job and the home.
The new master bathroom is just stunning. The walk-in shower is a master piece of design and detail. Our new vanity is also beautiful and functional. The cabinetry is top quality and integrates the granite countertops with the finish of the cabinets. He basically doubled the size of the room and made the room much more user friendly. Our bathroom in the lower level was carpeted, and the vanity was so very small and so very short it was laughable. We had Spectrum Construction put in a new toilet, new vanity, new floor tile, new tile in a long hallway exiting the bathroom, and finally had tile placed upon the ceiling of the bathtub shower built in. So it is as if we have two completely new bathrooms and we are so very proud of both.
One of the most important qualities for a construction company is the way in which the follow up details are handled. Jim is one who makes every detail and concern his top priority. He responds immediately to a phone call and makes it his personal business to see that you the consumer are completely satisfied.
We know that our next renovation job no matter what it may be will be done through Spectrum Construction because we trust their work and trust Jim completely.

This is a long overdue letter, to tell how amazed and delighted we have been with the beautiful bathroom and walk-in closet you installed in our home.
From the moment we met you, we knew that we were getting an honest, hard-working perfectionist as a contractor. You told us the truth every step of the way, and you were not afraid to let us know when you thought we were making big mistakes! You always guided us, even when it meant that we would be charged less. You worked with our schedules and our needs, which allowed us to get the work done in a timely fashion, but not inconvenience us. The subcontractors you used were amazing. All of them were friendly and worked very hard, and were artisans and craftsmen. Their work was impeccable (even the city inspectors thought so). The materials that they used in our bathroom are first- rate. It is one of the most beautiful rooms in our home, now!
he personal touch you gave to us astonished me. You went and filed for the permits at the city office, and even wrote a letter to the inspector requesting them to speed up the timeline to accommodate our family situation! Even after the work was long done, you called and made sure we were satisfied. And then when we had a question about how something was working, you still treated us like we were your most important customers and came out yourself to help us out with our concerns.
Probably the most important part of our relationship was that you were easily and always available. Whether by phone or email, you always answered my questions (of which I had a lot!) and addressed all of my concerns promptly and politely. I never felt as if I were bothering you, even though I knew you were very busy. That gave me such a piece of mind and it allowed me to feel very comfortable throughout the whole remodeling.
Though contracting with you was a little more expensive than others, I certainly believe it was worth every penny, because we have no worries about anything, and the work is superb. I would recommend you highly, Jim, and we have come to love you in our home! Thanks for everything you did for us.
